On the ground before, during, and after
Acting fast before, during, and after an emergency — collaborating creatively with diverse partners has meant we are able to assist impacted communities when disasters strike.
Thousands of communities around the world are affected every day by natural disasters, disease outbreaks, and conflicts. This leaves the most vulnerable people in urgent need of help to survive and recover. Historically, those with a background of working in a country alongside local communities are best suited to support relief efforts quickly and efficiently.
We’re so grateful to the generous outpouring of support from donors and to our wonderful partners—including Airlink, MAP International, Sol Relief, Amazon, DisasterTech and TESLA—who helped us respond to these disasters around the world in 2020:
- Marshall Islands Dengue Outbreak
- Hurricane Dorian in The Bahamas
- COVID-19
- Australian Bushfires
- Midland Floods in Michigan
- Hurricane Laura
- Hurricanes Eta & Iota in Nicaragua & Honduras
- California & Oregon Wildfires
