On the ground before, during, and after
Acting fast before, during, and after an emergency — collaborating creatively with diverse partners has meant we are able to assist impacted communities when disasters strike.
Thousands of communities around the world are affected every day by natural disasters, disease outbreaks, and conflicts. This leaves the most vulnerable people in urgent need of help to survive and recover. Historically, those with a background of working in a country alongside local communities are best suited to support relief efforts quickly and efficiently.
We’re so grateful to the generous outpouring of support from donors and to our wonderful partners—including Airlink, MAP International, Sol Relief, Amazon, DisasterTech and TESLA—who helped us respond to these disasters around the world in 2020:
- Marshall Islands Dengue Outbreak
- Hurricane Dorian in The Bahamas
- COVID-19
- Australian Bushfires
- Midland Floods in Michigan
- Hurricane Laura
- Hurricanes Eta & Iota in Nicaragua & Honduras
- California & Oregon Wildfires

Strengthen resiliency in impacted community
World Hope International works to build the capacity of our staff, volunteers and local partners to respond quickly and efficiently, and work with the impacted communities to help build back better and become more resilient.
The Power of Presence
In the Western world, we often struggle to show our appreciation or care for others and rely too much on gifts to speak for us. However, people in lower-income countries have taught me much about the care and love for others beyond material goods.
2021 Intern: Anja Lendi
“I have always said that in whatever I do, I want to help someone somewhere. So to work on several projects that help people in need is a dream come true for me.”
AN ORGANISATION YOU CAN TRUST.
Please note that in the unlikely event a specific appeal becomes overfunded, surplus funds will be redirected towards a similar relief or community development project.
